Markham Main Colliery Band is based in Armthorpe, just outside Doncaster, and is the oldest band in the area.
The band is very popular with audiences, both in the local area and further afield, and is in demand for concerts (especially during the summer period).
The weekend of January 20th-22nd saw the band return to contesting at the Mineworkers Open Championships at Butlins. After recieving many favourable comments about our performance of 'The Seasons' there can be no doubt that Markham Main are back on the national contest scene, and that we mean business!
We always welcome anyone who is interested in joining. Please contact our Chairman, John Doubtfire or our Secretary, Mrs Anita Milner or click on the "How to find us" section for directions and call in and see us on our rehearsals. Our rehearsals are every Tuesday and Thursday from 7.45pm until 9.30pm.
