Markham Main Colliery Band

The band's musical director is Mr Robert (Bob) Woffinden

Bob began his playing career at the age of 11 with the Brampton Ellis School Band. Taught by David Moore, one of the top players of the time, Bob was soon sought after.
Over the years Bob has played wih many bands including Barrow Colliery Band, Barnsley Music Centre, Dodworth Colliery, Carlton Main Frickley Colliery and the DUT Yorkshire Imperial Band.
Today, Bob has turned his hand to being the bands musical director and is very much enjoying passing on his knowledge and skills to all at Markham Main.
